- This is an equal opportunity, at-least-two-month guaranteed ruby on rails position with potential for long-term extention.
The RoR project involves a typical ecommerce website.
The right candidate are expected to feel comfortable with the following:
1) should feel comfortable working with teammates in different time zones, while you can be physically located in anywhere;
2) should be able to provide a way to prove your hands-on experience with RoR, portfolios is a good way, but not the only way;
3) should be good at self-management and be able to keep your promise while enjoying the maximum freedom freelance jobs provide (we highly evaluate personality over skills)

Basically, think "YouTube meets "QVC / eBay" (home shopping). ShangBy is creating a
new shopping category and platform - where people come to be entertained and participate
in the markets of the world. Specifically, the Company streams real time video to shoppers
in the US. A single individual or group of US located customer(s) shop as if they are “live”
in the store in Shanghai. The retailers and ShangBy hosts do the translation and buy on
behalf of ShangBy's US customer. Everyone else watching on TV or the Internet can "pileon"

- 注意到招ruby和rails的逐渐多起来,有不少兄弟们也跃跃欲试,但是相信相当一部分人都是业余喜欢rails,自己已经有正式工作的,对于更换现在的职位是需要一定风险的,现有个问题请了解的兄弟们回答下:
做rails coder（主义是coder不是manager）有工作经验（非rails经验）的最低,最高可以拿到多少,给个大概的范围。相信兄弟们都不愿意换了工作之后行情看衰,但问题是基本上都没有rails的工作经验,新公司愿意为之前的非rails工作经验买单么?
